Harmony Tenor Archtop (page 2)

Back to Fretsville or Reality Check

Here's what a Harmony catalog from the early 1960s has to say about this guitar:

"Auditorium size, arched, a model that for years has set the pace in its price class. Of well seasoned hardwood. Top and back edges trimmed with white celluloid. Ovalled, ebonized fingerboard, adjustable bridge. Black celluloid guardplate. Lustrous black polished finish with contrasting grained reddish highlights."

and "4-string model, similar in construction and finish to 950 guitar. Plays easily, has pleasing tone."

I think the TG-950 has exactly the same body as the H-950, but with the tenor neck. If there is a radius to the fretboard, it's very slight.
